The hotel’s restaurant Embers Restaurant and Bar, offers wood fired cuisine and is very popular with the locals.
Grand Mercure Hadleys Hotel is an old hotel, recently refurbished to offer large Victorian-style rooms, with all the modern conveniences.
The 1834 Restaurant features a cosy wood fire, as well as a wide variety of local wines, as well as Australian and international wines. The hotel is right in the heart of the CBD, just a short walk from Salamanca Place, Constitution Dock and Hobart’s shopping.
I’ve stayed here quite a few times and it’s one of my favourites – pretty old and the last time I stayed the room was quite basic, but a great position in the middle of town.
Parking is a bit of a pain though.
